Indoor volleyball is back! Wednesdays at 7pm, at the usual location (details below). Hope to see you all there!
Where: LCVI Small Gym (see map for directions), 153 Van Order Drive, Kingston. LCVI is at the corner of Bath Rd & Sir John A Macdonald Blvd near the Kingston Centre however if you're driving you enter from the subdivision behind it. It's on a bus route, or if you need a ride you can post here and someone can probably help you out.
When: Most Wednesdays September 11 - June 11, 7-10pm, come late or leave early as desired. Check here or Facebook for updates as weather and school events do occasionally preempt us.
Cost: $4 per night or $50 per half season (~20 nights).
What To Bring: Indoor athletic shoes (ideally non-marking ones), comfortable clothing (usually a little on the warm side, change rooms available), water or sports drink if desired (water fountain available but you need a bottle), knee pads if desired.
Who: Everyone 18+! No experience required! Basic knowledge of volleyball rules and play is highly recommended, there are many good resources online. You must be 18+ to participate for insurance reasons.
COVID: We'll be following any requirements of the school board and public health organizations, presently there are none. Vaccinations are highly recommended, and you're welcome to wear a mask if you like. If you have any illness symptoms please do not come, there's always next week.
This is a fun social group with a wide range of skill levels. We play music and make random teams that change through the night. We keep score to know when the game is over, and sometimes there's some pretty good volleyball, but we're there to have fun. It's a safe and welcoming space to meet some new people in the community and get some exercise at the same time.
